Economy
Burken runs on kr (kronor). It's a closed economy β a fixed amount of money exists in the world, so coins are earned and traded, never made from thin air. Here's how to make some and spend it.
π‘ The big idea
- Everyone shares one fixed pool of money β no printing, no duplicating.
- You earn kr by selling items and doing quests, and spend it buying items or paying players.
- Brand-new money only ever enters through the Mint (see below).
π° Checking your money
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/bal | Check your balance |
/bal <player> | Check someone else's balance |
/baltop | See the richest players |
/pay <player> <amount> | Send kr to another player |
/bank | See how much kr is left in the Bank |
πͺ§ Shops β buying & selling
Look for [Admin Shop] signs β they buy and sell items for kr.
- Right-click a sign to trade.
- A normal click trades the quantity on the sign (e.g. 64); shift-click trades 1.
- Some signs do both: left-click to buy, right-click to sell.
- Prices float with supply & demand β the more of an item in stock, the cheaper it gets. Dump a lot of one thing and it pays less; rare stuff stays valuable.
π Making money
- Sell loot and farm goods at shop signs.
- Do quests β many pay kr.
- The Mint β the only source of brand-new coins: right-click a
[Mint]sign while holding Netherite Ingots to turn them into kr (daily limits apply, so the market can't be flooded).
π± Tips for new players
- Sell early loot you don't need to get your first kr.
- Dumping a huge stack at once drives the price down as you sell β spread big sales out.
- Sell a variety of items to get more per trade.
- Save up for the good stuff instead of buying when stock (and prices) are bad.
